TS govt to fill posts 16,940

Orders to be issued in a couple of days

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said the government has so far issued orders to recruit people to fill 60,929 posts in various departments and orders for recruiting candidates for another 16,940 posts are ready and will be issued shortly.

The Chief Secretary held a meeting with officials at the BRKR Bhavan on Tuesday and reviewed the recruitment process.The CS said that the filling up of vacancies is being carried out by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), the Medical Recruitment Board, the Police Recruitment Board, and the DSC etc. He directed officials to strictly adhere to timelines and ensure that the recruitment is completed fast.

Departments were told to submit details to the Public Service Commission expeditiously as notifications have to be issued next month making changes in service rules. The recruitment process would be monitored daily, he added.
