Telangana government is giving only rough estimates on TS-ipass said Forum for good governance.
On filing RT.I. application, Commissioner Industries provided a list of industries (companies) which were cleared till now through TS – i PASS. By the end fo December 202, ni al 23,322 industries have got clearance with likely investment of 26.7 lakh crores and proposed jobs to eb created is 17.82 lakhs. Commissioner does not have the figures of actual investment made and jobs created. In most of the cases it is only rough estimate.
Padmanabha Reddy said, “Most of the (so called) industries mentioned are Flour Mills, Welding units, Small Engineering works, Brick works, stone crushers etc. These sundry activities do not need any elaborate clearances. I have reason to believe that to boost up the figure of industries cleared under TS – I PASS all the sundry activities are included. Again the major industries which the TS – i PASS claims have cleared already exist like Metro Rail, G.M.R. International Airport, Indian Oil Corporation etc. Again the claim that the industries which have come to Telangana because fo simplified procedure for TS – iPASS are Ramagundam fertilisers, Yadadri Thermal Plant, Badradri Thermal Plants, Barath dynamics etc.
These industries are public sector industries and many clearances to be obtained from Government of India and TS – iPASS has not much role to play. Yet again there are other categories of activity which TS i PASS claims cleared are like Aparna Housing, Phoenix constructions, Myhome constructions etc.
