Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad has mandated the conduct of safety audits in hazardous industries across the state every three months without fail.
He emphasised that the 100-day action plan within government departments should be implemented effectively to achieve specific objectives. On Tuesday, he held a review meeting with officials from ITE&C, NRI Empowerment, Tourism and Culture, Cinematography, Industries, Commerce, Labour, Factories, and other departments at the State Secretariat.
Addressing the Industries Department during the meeting, the Chief Secretary insisted that safety audits must be conducted quarterly in hazardous industries. He stressed the importance of taking necessary precautionary measures to prevent industrial accidents.
The Chief Secretary also pointed out the need to review various schemes and programmes introduced and implemented by the previous government. Additionally, CS Neerabh Kumar Prasad discussed several other issues with the officials present at the meeting.
IT Secretary Sourav Gaur and Tourism In-Charge Managing Director Abhishikt Kishore were present, while Principal Secretary S Suresh Kumar, Secretary Dr N Yuvaraj, and Special Secretary Vijayakumar participated virtually.
