TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that Rahul Gandhi is not against private companies. The basic principle of the Congress is ‘equality.’ Rahul is fighting for equality, even though more stones have been thrown at him than anybody else.
“Is it wrong for Rahul to dream of a caste survey for the downtrodden? How does Rahul, who is demanding 42 per cent reservations for BCs, look less? Why is Modi, who is blocking reservations for BCs, more visible than Rahul? Rahul life is a life of ‘sacrifices.’ They should know why Rahul’s family, who ‘rejected’ the post of Prime Minister, looks less,” Mahesh said.
Addressing the media on Sunday at the Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh said that it is not right for a section of the media to publish such things instead of giving instructions like an elder brother.
He said the article on Rahul published in some media outlets is likely to hurt the sentiments of Congress workers.
Mahesh said that it is painful that they (a section of the media) failed to understand Rahul’s attitude. He said the article is like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s word and that it is not proper to write like that instead of supporting Rahul, he said.
Mahesh said this kind of material cannot be accepted by Congress activists. He said God should know about those who made him write a lie that he doesn’t know for whose benefit it was written. He said that Nehru independently executed development projects and Indira Gandhi launched development projects with the slogan ‘Garibhi Hatao.’
The writer should reveal why Rahul Gandhi is inferior to those who create trouble in the name of caste and religion, he said.
