Rangareddy BRS party cadre is keenly observing the role that former Minister and BRS MLA Patnam Mahender Reddy is expected to get.
Ever since induction of Pilot Rohit Reddy from Congress to BRS, cadre in areas of Parigi, Tandur, Kodangal and Vikarabad are keenly watching moves and are divided. With Patnam and Rohit seen together, since Monday speculations are rife that Patnam will be inducted into the Council of Ministers.
However, sources in Raj Bhavan said that they have not received any official communication from government over swearing in ceremony. Sources close to Patnam also did not get any call about inducting into cabinet. However Raj Bhavan seems to be prepared in case the government wants to induct Patnam.
Mahender Reddy and Tandur MLA Rohit Reddy have locked horns over the past few years. However, KCR renominated Patnam with MP Ranjith Reddy playing a crucial role. Patnam and Rohit even pushed each other publicly and crtiscised each other all in public. Ranjith reportedly played a key role in coordinating between leaders of Parigi, Vikarabad, Chevella and Tandur constituency. On instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and KT Rama Rao, Ranjith was trying to sort this issue as KCR is keen on keeping Patnam despite reportedly meeting D K Sivakumar.
Mahender Reddy’s wife was former ZP Chairperson and brother Patnam Narender Reddy represents Kodangal Assembly constituency. So brokering peace was most important to stop Congress from growing.
