Rashmika Mandanna to star alongside Ayushman now

Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe might soon expand with the addition of Vampires of Vijay Nagar, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. As the title suggests, the film will delve into the realm of vampires.
According to a report, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna have been finalised to headline this unique horror comedy, helmed by Dinesh Vijan and Aditya Satpodar (Munjya). The duo, known for their creative synergy from their collaboration on Bala, has been discussing Vampires of Vijay Nagar for some time and plans to commence filming by the end of this year.
“The film is set to kick off in November this year,” quoted a source. If these reports hold true, this project will mark the first on-screen collaboration between Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. The source also revealed, “Both actors will portray very distinct characters that will surprise audiences. The script is currently in development and will soon progress to the pre-production phase.” Ayushmann Khurrana, prior to beginning work on Vampires of Vijay Nagar, will wrap up filming for Karan Johar’s untitled spy-thriller and the Anurag Singh-directed Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is slated to complete her commitments for Pushpa 2: The Rule with Allu Arjun, recently rescheduled for release on December 6, 2024.
