In a big relief to YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy, the Telangana High Court bench headed by Justice K Lakshman on Friday directed the CBI not to take any action (arrest) against Avinash Reddy till Monday, March 13 in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case. The High Court had taken up a petition filed by Avinash Reddy challenging the CBI probe on Friday.
The MP complained to the court that the investigation officer is not recording the statement as was deposed by him and wanted the CBI to videograph the examination. Avinash Reddy wanted his counsel with him while the investigating agency questioned him.
The court ordered to submit videography and audio on the hard disk to the High Court.
The court has directed the investigating agency to submit the letter found in the area of the murder and all the details of the Avinash Reddy case.T Niranjan Reddy appeared for Avinash Reddy and urged the court to direct the CBI not to arrest him till Monday.
The counsel for the CBI said that they are allowing the counsel of Avinash and they are also recording the audio and video while questioning. The Judge said that Avinash need not appear before the CBI officials till Monday.
On the other hand, Dr. Narreddy Sunitha, daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy, wanted to be impleaded in the case and opposed any relief to Avinash Reddy, the judge posted the case on Monday.
