REPORTERS’ DIARY : ‘Congress’ contractors’ bills cleared

People from various walks of life cannot help dealing with politicians directly or indirectly. However, it pays them always only if they are apolitical. In Telangana, following regime change, only contractors blessed by the governing ‘hand’ are having a field day. Ironically, most of the bills kept pending by the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government, apparently due to political considerations, are being cleared without any visible consideration. That is, bills relating to pro-Congress and Congress leaders, who happen to be also contractors, are being cleared expeditiously. In the erstwhile BRS regime, few bills were cleared and they were not those related to Congress leaders. While Komatireddy brothers, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and others belonging to the ilke are reaping the benefits of the Congress government coming to power, those in the other camp may have to wait indefinitely.
