The Task Force Team of Telangana’s Commissioner of Food Safety inspected restaurants in Jubilee Hills Road 36 and found multiple violations.
The Task Force Team inspected Poshnosh Lounge and Bar and found expired and misbranded Sichuan pepper, imported from Bangkok without importer details, which was seized. The establishment was operating with an expired license (20\12\2024).
Key documents such as water analysis reports, pest control records, FOSTAC certificates and employee medical records were missing. Refrigerators were not properly cleaned or defrosted. The kitchen floor lacked proper drainage for food waste and had an open entry without a window or insect-proof screen.
Food and non-food items, as well as vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, were stored together. Food items were placed directly on the ground. Industrial-use citric acid (1kg) was found in storage. Expired food items like soy sauce, papad packets, rasam powder, onion powder, cajun mix, mushrooms and packed methi were discarded. Split cashews were found infested with insects.

Later, The Task Force Team also inspected Kishkinda Kitchen (Kake di Hatti), and found that refrigerators were dirty and filled with food waste. Water analysis reports, FOSTAC certificates, and employee medical records were missing. Kitchen drains were clogged and food items were improperly stored. Spoiled vegetables, live cockroaches and rat feces indicated a pest infestation. Expired items, including juice, mushrooms, sunflower oil and packed mustard seeds were discarded. Food handlers were working without gloves. The Task Force Team stated that a notice will be issued and further action will be taken accordingly.
