startup ideas &funding are on holdT-Hub’s startup workspaces remain empty

T-Hub, India’s leading startup incubator, workspaces remain empty as startup ideas and funding are on hold. The Technology Hub, which stands at the epicenter of innovation, connecting startups, corporates, academia, investors and governments, is now being run with existing and well-established startups.
When asked, employees stated that out of 3,000 startups registered with T-Hub, only 1,900 have allocated workspaces in the building. Asish said that while T-Hub was once fully active under the previous administration, encouraging young entrepreneurs with various ideas, it has now become a very stringent process to get startup registration approved by HR management. He noted that unless the ideas are favoured or reach the ears of Interim CEO Sujit Jagirdar, startups are not getting approved.

The 10-floor building has a floor for venture capital companies at no cost, but many spaces beside Pinnacle Hall and on other floors remain empty. While most floors have workspaces along with event halls, above the 7th floor is not being used much, while the 10th floor consists of a gym and other amenities. The management portrays the building as fully occupied, but the startup incubator remains mostly empty. While events like summits and conclaves are organised, much of the startup and funding information is not disclosed, with the management and officials avoiding sharing the details. T-Hub often hosts events and partnerships in Marvel Hall and Pinnacle Hall, signs MoUs and organises various startup programmes and conclaves. But many young entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts want more intake into the incubator, faster funding approval and greater support for innovation.
