Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed companies to invest in Telangana during his trip to Davos. Investments have now exceeded the amount received during the BRS government’s time.
The CM concluded his trip and went to London where he got a warm reception. In Davos, the CM met Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons and discussed the Tata group’s business plans in Telangana.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),the tech consulting arm of Tata Group, employs around 80,000 people in Hyderabad, making them one of the largest IT employers in the state. TCS has big plans for Hyderabad and will continue to increase its investments over the next few years.
Tata Technologies Limited (TTL) is also partnering with the TS government to upgrade and transform Government ITIs as Advanced Technology Centres to impart long term and short-term courses in industry 4.0 trades and bridge the skill gap. TTL will be investing around Rs 1,500 crore to set up advanced skilling centres in 50 government ITIs and will also deploy master trainers to teach students the new courses.“The Tata group is a key contributor to the state’s growth. Our government is committed to facilitating Tata Group’s investments. We are happy to partner with TTL to establish advanced tech centres in our ITIs and we welcome TTL to join the initiative to set up dedicated skill universities in Telangana,” Revanth said on the occasion.
Natarajan Chandrasekaran added, “Telangana is a strategically important location for the Tata group. As a group, we intend to expand in Telangana as much as possible and we look forward to working with the
new government.”
Uber, the globally renowned new government mobility and SAAS company, has announced its expansion plans in Hyderabad, underscoring the city’s thriving talent pool and pro-business environment. This strategic move follows a successful meeting between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s delegation and Uber’s leadership at the World Economic Forum in Davos. This project is expected to generate employment for approximately 1,000 engineers.
In addition to this expansion, Uber is set to introduce two innovative services in Hyderabad.
In an attempt to contribute to sustainable mobility, Uber will introduce Uber Green offering users exclusive access to zero emission electric vehicle rides. Uber Shuttle Launch will provide premium, efficient rides on high-capacity vehicles.
Surgical Instruments Group Holdings (SIGH) announced an investment of Rs 231.5 crore in Telangana to set up a Healthcare Devices Manufacturing Facility in the next two to three years.
Gouri Sridhara, the Managing Director and Amar Chidipothu, the Director of Surgical Instruments Group Holdings (SIGH), a leading medical devices manufacturing company from the UK, met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Minister of Industries & IT Minister in Davos.
This will include the manufacturing of many devices which are currently not manufactured in India and will be a step towards affordable healthcare.
SIGH is a well-established company, supplying to the NHS, the Ministry of Defence (Army) and private hospitals in the United Kingdom. They are headquartered in Milton Keynes with dedicated manufacturing facilities in Turkey and Germany.
‘o9 Solutions’ announced a specialised supply chain skills academy in Telangana. The goal of the move is to equip thousands of graduating engineers from the state with specialized supply chain skills that are in great demand from global companies across various manufacturing and retail industry verticals.
The skills in which training will be provided span industry domain knowledge and products. The Government of Telangana will provide support by accessing education institutions and physical training infrastructure in the state.

Qcentrio, a prominent IT development and services provider, is set to expand operations in Telangana, following a successful meeting with Telangana’s IT Minister, Sridhar Babu, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
