BRS MLAs wondered how former AICC President Rahul Gandhi gave the TPCC President’s post to ‘Vote-for-Note’ accused Revanth Reddy.

They said that Revanth has been speaking cheaply to the media for publicity’s sake and asked him to withdraw his comments against Health Minister T. Harish Rao and apologise immediately. Addressing the media along with MLAs Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Madan Reddy, Manik Rao and former Legislative Council Chairman V. Bhupal Reddy, Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran asked Revanth to explain where he was when Harish became a Minister. Asking Revanth not to distort facts Kranthi Kiran said, “Revanth might have been painting on the walls when Harish became Minister.” He asked Revanth not to disturb peaceful Telangana with his comments.

He said that Revanth is trying to divert attention from his comments on free power supply when the BRS gave a fitting reply to him and has been attempting to regain his lost image. He is making allegations which have no connection with the subject.

Kranthi Kiran made it clear that the BRS will not fall into the trap set by Revanth. He said that Revanth’s face belongs to the Congress but his mind is with the TDP. He said that both the Congress and the TDP betrayed Telangana and Revanth too is doing the same.

Gudem Mahipal Reddy said that Revanth will not become the CM by criticising KCR. “We will not remain silent if Revanth attacks Harish. Revanth must change at least now,” he warned.

V. Bhupal Reddy said that the public will not tolerate Revanth if he speaks irresponsibly. The language used by Revanth against the Speaker, the Chairman and Harish is objectionable, Bhupal said and demanded that he should apologise.

Madan said that the BRS will gain much if Revanth continues to be the TPCC president. He asked the Congress high command not to remove Revanth from the TPCC President’s post like the BJP which changed its Telangana unit president Sanjay.

Manik Rao said that Revanth is a Vote-for-Note accused. “I don’t know why the Congress gave the TPCC Chief’s post to Revanth,” he said.
