TPCC Vice President Vem Narendar Reddy, who is a close friend of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has become a hot topic in Congress circles.
Congress sources said that Vem Narendar Reddy has become to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy like KVP Ramachandra Rao was to the late Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
Everyone knows the friendship between KVP and YSR. Many times YSR had openly said that KVP was his soul. Like KVP and YSR now Vem Narendar Reddy and Revanth Reddy have become close friends. Their friendship started when they both were in the TDP.
During the TDP government’s rule in United Andhra Pradesh, both Vem Narendar Reddy and Revanth were very active. After Revanth resigned from the TDP and joined the Congress his friend Vem Narendar Reddy followed him.
It may be recalled that after the state’s bifurcation, the TDP leadership tried to make Vem Narendar Reddy during the BRS government. Revanth tried to make his friend Vem Narendar Reddy an MLC. During this time the sensational vote-for-note case was registered by the ACB against Revanth Reddy and he was jailed.
In the recent Assembly elections, the Congress came to power and Revanth became the Chief Minister. After Revanth became the Chief Minister his friend Vem Narendar Reddy turned important.
Congress circles now say that Vem Narendar Reddy is always with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. If the CM is at the Secretariat then Vem Narendar Reddy is also there. Vem Narendar Reddy follows the CM wherever he goes.
During YSR’s rule KVP always followed YSR and wherever YSR went KVP was also seen. Now, Vem Narendar Reddy also does the same.

Congress sources said that Revanth opens his mind only before Vem Narendar Reddy. Congress leaders have started to speak to Vem Narendar Reddy to know the CM’s mind. Chief Minister Revanth is following YSR’s style of functioning.
