Revolutionary poet Gaddar’s last film, Ukku Satyagraham  to release on August 30

Director and producer Hero People Star Satya Reddy’s film Ukku Satyagraham, featuring the renowned public activist and revolutionary poet Gaddar, is set for release on the 30th of this month. With the slogan “Visakha Ukku Telugu Vari Hakku”, the film highlights the struggles against the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
The release date was announced with the unveiling of the poster by a distinguished group including National Best Director B. Narsinga Rao, Telangana state anthem creator Ande Sri, Gaddar’s son Suryam, folk poet Goreti Venkanna, Prof. Kodanda Ram, Nandini Siddha Reddy, and Allam Narayana.
Satya Reddy announced that Ukku Satyagraham will release in over 200 theaters worldwide on August 30.
Gaddar has contributed to the film by performing three songs, acting in two, and appearing in some informative scenes. The lyrics were penned by Goreti Venkanna and Suddala Ashok Teja.

Speaking about the film, Satya Reddy emphasised the extensive efforts behind Ukku Satyagraham, which has been in the making for three years. The film, a collective effort of steel plant union leaders, employees, intellectuals, poets, artists and writers, addresses the fight against steel plant privatisation and the quest for justice for land squatters. The movie was shot across various locations, including Delhi’s India Gate and Jantar Mantar, Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, Singareni Coal Mines and Visakhapatnam.
