The police cracked the sensational robbery case by arresting seven persons and recovered Rs 2.75 lakh cash and gold jewellery weighing 425 grams.

SP Malika Garg told the media that a police team led by Giddalur CI arrested the accused at SRKT colony in Narasaraopet on the night of December 29 and recovered Rs 2.75 lakh cash, 425 grams of gold jewellery, one swift car, a Bajaj pulsar motorcycle and four mobile phones and registered cases under Section Cr.No.475/2022 U/s.341, 427, 397 IPC.

The complainant Mohibubulla was working as a clerk at RS jewellers in Vijayawada and he used to go to Nandyala every Saturday to take orders and also to sell gold jewellery.

On December 25, while returning from Nandyala in car seven, robbers obstructed them in the white colour swift car and snatched 2 kg gold and Rs 21 lakh cash and fled. The victims lodged a complaint with the Giddalur PS.

The police got information that the robbers left the car at Krishnamshetty Palli village. The police seized the car and found one and half KG gold and Rs 14 lakh in the secret locker intact in the car and handed over the same to the owners.
