Today marks the 24th birthday of actor Roshann Meka, son of popular star Srikanth Meka. Exactly a year ago, he took to Instagram and announced his upcoming project with Vyjayanthi and Swapna Cinemas. The title of the period action drama will be released soon. The film will be directed by director Pradeep Advaitam. Roshann made his debut as a lead actor with Nirmala Convent(2016), for which he won the SIIMA Award for best actor in the male debut category. Later, he went on to star in Gowri Ronanki’s Pelli SandaD(2021) which underperformed at the box office. The Nirmala Convent star is a trained actor and early in his career, he worked as an assistant director under Prabhu Deva for Dabaang 3.
Speaking of period dramas, Roshann made his acting debut with Rudhramadevi(2015). Perhaps the short but quality experience might prove helpful for the young actor. Reports suggest that Roshann’s latest film will focus on the Telangana Razakar movement and it’d be interesting to see what the actor is going to bring to the table. In his last two films, he donned the role of a romantic hero and this is the first time he’ll be seen playing an intense role.
Besides preparing for the shoot of the action drama that’s going to kick start at the end of April, the actor is currently taking part in Celebrity Cricket League.
The young actor expressed his interest to take up roles that are challenging and demand a great deal of restraint on the screen.
The Telugu audience took a liking to Roshann for his looks. Interestingly he shares striking similarities with his father and the star’s fans are eager to see Roshann in a film that brings out the best in him. Although Pelli SandaD didn’t reach the expectations of Srikanth’s fans, Roshann’s acting didn’t go for a toss. Vedhanssn Pictures might sign up the actor for a project in the near future.
