Rs 1,571 cr for NIMS expansion

The Telangana State government has accorded administrative sanction to Director, NIMS, Hyderabad for an amount of Rs.1,571.00 crore towards ‘NIMS expansion project’.

The orders issued by Health Secretary S A M Rizvi are based on a proposal with estimate, DPR and annual account statement for expansion of NIMS submitted by the Director of NIMS.  As per the GO MS 142, NIMS is permitted to name the financial resources from banks/financial institutions for meeting the cost of the project and also to engage SBI CAPS which is nodal agency for TSSHCL for debt syndication for the project. 

The works relating to NIMS expansion have been entrusted to the Roads and Buildings Department. The government also permitted the ENC(R&B) Department to invite bids on item rate basis for the retrofitting works and on design build mode on turnkey basis (EPC mode) simultaneously for the new constructions as was permitted for the Warangal Super-specialty hospital vide G.O.Ms.No.2, HM&FW (CI) Dept.Minister Harish Rao said: “In an another big step towards Arogya Telangana, Govt sanctioned a Rs1,571 crore towards “NIMS expansion project”.
