Rs 365 cr okayed for rectification of black spots on National Highway 65

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Sunday said that as many as 17 black spots have been identified on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway and the work would be taken up at a cost of Rs 325 crore
The Minister was laying the foundation stone for the construction of a flyover on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway at Chityala under the Nakrekal constituency in Nalgonda district
Speaking on the occasion, Venkat Reddy said that the undivided Nalgonda district would be developed in all sectors.
He said that he was committed to working for the welfare of the people. He said that roads would be laid in Nalgonda district at Rs 500 crore and in the next four-and-a-half years, all the promises made to people would be fulfilled. He said that Nalgonda and Nakrekal are both important to him. He promised to ensure that the waiver of farm loans is completed by August 15. A programme would be launched to build Indiramma houses for the poor.
He said that water would be provided to 80,000 acres by spending Rs 400 crore to augment the irrigation potential of the Brahmana Veleymula project within three months and the Chief Minister e had sanctioned Rs 2,200 crore for projects, including SLBC in the Nalgonda district. He said that the Centre has been asked to sanction Rs 16,000 crore for the Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway and other R & B roads and all roads in Nakrekal constituency will be converted into R & B roads. The Minister said that a government junior college will be set up in Chityal, the Chityala government hospital has been converted into a 50-bed hospital with the help of donors, and a trauma care centre is being set up with the help of NRIs at the Nakirekal toll gate.
 Alair MLA and Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah said that the flyover on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway was taken up without causing inconvenience to the people and the Minister is now doing all the work that was not done in the previous government.
State Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Chityala Municipal Chairman Chinna Venkata Reddy, Revenue Additional Collector J Srinivas, Nalgonda RDO Ravi, National Highways Corporation engineering officers, local officials, public representatives, councillors, etc. participated in this program.
