RTC to operate 1,000 special buses to Vemulawada for Mahasivaratri

The TSRTC will press into service at least 1,000 buses to Vemulavada in connection with MahaSivaratri festival on March 8, according to RTC Karimnagar executive director Vinod Kumar.
In connection with the festival, devotees not only from Telugu states but also from neighbouring Maharashtra and Karnataka will flock to the temple. Serpentine lines of devotees can be seen in front of the temple from the early hours of Sivaratri Day.
The RTC officials said that 265 special buses would be operated on March 7, 400 on March 8 and 329 on March 9 for the benefit of the devotees.
The buses will be operated from Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Sircilla, Narsampeta, Korutla, Metpalli, Armoor, Kamareddy, Nirmal and Vemulawada depots. During the three days, the RTC will operate 14 mini buses from Vemulawada bus station to the temple free of cost with the courtesy of the Lord Raja Rajeswara Swamy temple.

The RTC authorities appealed to people to make better use of the special bus services.
