Rudramadevi era Inscription discovered

An inscription dating to the period of Kakatiya dynasty Rani Rudramadevi (1262-1289) was discovered at an agriculture field at Kothapalli village in Peddaraveedu mandal.
Archeology director Muniratnam and historian Turimella Srinivas Prasad conducted a research on the rare stone inscription and found it belonged to 1272.
The stone inscription says Kayasta king Tripuradevudu gave Valluru village as gifts to Tripurantakeshara Swamy temple.
Archeology director Muniratnam said that the rare stone inscription should be preserved to explain the glory of the kings to the posterity.
