Actress Rukshar Dhillon, who plays the female lead in Dilruba opposite Kiran Abbavaram, has opened up on unwanted photography at the film’s trailer launch event in Hyderabad. Directed by Viswa Karun, the film is set for release on March 14.
During the event, Rukshar expressed her gratitude to the makers for casting her but also took the opportunity to address a serious concern regarding her personal space. The actress shared that despite her clear discomfort, someone continued taking her pictures without her consent.
“I just want to address something serious. How many women are in the audience? Please raise your hands,” Rukshar asked, emphasizing the importance of respecting personal boundaries.
She went on to say, “Even after politely requesting him not to take my pictures because I was uncomfortable, he didn’t stop. You all saw what happened on stage. I don’t want to name anyone, but the message is clear.”
Before leaving the stage, she cast a serious look toward a person in the media section, sparking speculation that she was referring to a journalist known for publishing sensationalized content about actresses.
Rukshar’s statement has since gained attention, with many supporting her stance on personal space and consent in public settings.
