Sajjala sees Naidu’s conspiracy

Must read

General secretary of YSRCP and an Advisor to the Government (Public Affairs), Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has accused Chandrababu Naidu of orchestrating a campaign against the volunteer system in the State since its inception.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party’s central office on Sunday, Sajjala asserted that the volunteer system has been instrumental in delivering government welfare schemes directly to the people across the State. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was the mastermind behind the purported conspiracy to prohibit volunteer services.
Sajjala highlighted the involvement of former election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, whom he claimed acted on behalf of Chandrababu Naidu to establish the Citizen for Democracy Forum, which purportedly advocates for Naidu and the TDP.
Furthermore, Sajjala emphasised that by imposing a ban on volunteer services, Naidu is signalling the resurgence of Janmabhoomi Committees. He accused Chandrababu of being complicit in harming the vulnerable sections of society that rely on government welfare schemes. Sajjala remarked that Naidu’s attempts to curtail volunteer services have backfired, prompting him to initiate damage control measures by penning letters. He reassured that the government is committed to providing alternative means for the distribution of social security pensions through Village and Ward Secretariats.
Sajjala praised Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s volunteer system as a model for the nation, contrasting it with Naidu’s longstanding opposition to volunteer services. He criticized Naidu for obstructing the timely distribution of pensions and other Direct Benefit Transfers (DBTs) under the guise of electoral regulations.
Accusing Chandrababu of orchestrating an immoral political agenda through the Citizens for Democracy, Sajjala alleged that the forum serves as Naidu’s ‘B-Team’. He contended that Naidu’s actions stemmed from fear that the volunteer services would enhance Jagan’s reputation, indicating a lack of vision on Naidu’s part. Sajjala cited the rapid establishment of Citizens for Democracy, its subsequent legal actions against the volunteer system, and Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar’s alleged role in these activities as evidence of collusion between Naidu and certain individuals.
Regarding the political landscape, Sajjala criticized the alliance between Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu, suggesting that Pawan merely echoes Naidu’s sentiments. He expressed doubt regarding Pawan’s credibility among the people of Pithapuram and criticised the distribution of electoral seats between TDP and Jana Sena Party (JSP), alleging that many JSP candidates have affiliations with TDP and other parties.
