Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind’s comments on Sunday against Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar have created flutters in the BJP.
Asking Sanjay to withdraw his comments against BRS MLC Kavitha, Arvind said the President’s post is not a power centre and that it is only meant for coordination. This sudden statement by Arvind shocked BJP leaders.
Based on Arvind’s comments, former BJP National Executive Committee Member Perala Shekar Rao also levelled charges against Sanjay on Monday.
But it is now learnt that Arvind criticised Sanjay as he was interested in inducting Orange Tours & Travels owner and managing director Muthyala Sunil Reddy into the BJP. Arvind has been opposing Sunil Reddy’s induction, it is learnt.
Moreover, Arvind has been encouraging one Mallikarjun Reddy from the Balkonda Assembly constituency from where Sunil Reddy would like to contest after joining the BJP.
There is also another problem between Arvind and Sanjay. Sanjay is welcoming former MLC Dr R. Bhupathi Reddy into the BJP, but Arvind has been opposing Bhupathi’s attempts to join the BJP from Nizamabad Rural, it is learnt.
It is learnt that Arvind is serious about these issues as Balkonda and Nizamabad Rural Assembly constituencies come under his Nizamabad LS constituency. Arvind is disturbed at Sanjay going against his ideas in his Parliament constituency.
Perala Shekhar Rao, who has been expressing unhappiness about Sanjay from the beginning, made some wild allegations in a Facebook post. He said the party is moving forward three steps and going back six and that he is ready to prove his allegations against Sanjay.
Perala Shekhar Rao said the BJP’s condition is not so good now although Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been losing ground. The BJP brass is extending full support to the TS party leadership but it is not using it, Perala Shekhar Rao said.
BJP leader Perala hurls wild charges on Sanjay
Former BJP National Executive Committee member Perala Shekhar Rao hurled some allegations against Telangana BJP President Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar in a Facebook post which went viral on Monday. In his post, Perala Shekhar Rao said, “Hello friends and fans…what Dharmapuri spoke is 100% correct. Dharmapuri did what Kishan Reddy, Laxman and other elders should have done. President’s immature inappropriate words, affairs, dictatorship and undemocratic acts are the reason for this situation in the BJP. Mosque excavation, kissing, blackmail, internal settlements by raising issues, the humiliation of long-time activists, mischievous tendencies, lack of coordination, personal financial selfishness, and his use-and-throw attitude is not our party’s culture. Karimnagar Granites’ corruption was raised and this resulted in internal agreements.
Serials in Raj News in the name of Jupalli Rameshwar Rao’s mining irregularities and later making settlements made four BJP leaders invest crores in Raj News and they were deceived. Leaving aside leaders who have been working for the BJP for decades, and handing over the Secunderabad Cantonment VC Post to newcomers for financial reasons was not tolerable. The winning atmosphere that prevailed after Eatala Rajender’s stunning win over KCR was spoiled by the leadership after the Huzurabad by-poll. I am ready to prove all these charges. I chose social media to express my views as the culture of listening has disappeared in the party. At present, the situation in our party is three steps forward and six steps back. This is because of the state leadership. While KCR and BRS are losing ground this is our misfortune. Even though the BJP brass is supporting us in a big way we are unable to make use of it. I have been a BJP activist for 50 years, and a full-time activist for 30 years. I don’t care about my future. I am fighting for reforms in the party.”
It may be recalled that Perala Shekhar Rao had held some meetings secretly with a few rebels in the past against the BJP state leadership. Perala Shekhar made these allegations against Sanjay immediately after Dharmapuri Arvind expressed his unhappiness about Sanjay on Sunday.
