Sanjay blasts Cong leaders’ claim on supplying fine rice

Must read

‘The claim by Congress leaders that they are supplying fine rice to the poor through ration shops is ridiculous, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said.
Speaking with reference to the state government, he said, “I am asking… You are spending only Rs 10 per kg on the rice given to the poor. But the Modi Government is spending Rs 37 per kg. So, who is greater in this?”
He said that it is surprising that the state government, which has been bothering the people by not providing good rice for so long with the money given by Modi, is now providing fine rice, and the Congress is saying that the entire expenditure is ours.
He challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, saying, “If what you are saying is true, then reject the money provided by the Centre for supplying ration rice. Do you have the guts to write to the Centre saying that you will spend Rs 50 per kg from the state budget and provide fine rice to the poor?”
“What are we asking? We are only asking you to place the Prime Minister’s photo at ration shops and acknowledge the Centre’s contribution in supplying rice to the poor. Is that wrong?” he added
As part of the BJP’s ‘Gaon Chalo’ (Go to the Village) programme, Sanjay
toured Jublinagar in Karimnagar Rural Mandal on Sunday morning. He toured the village, explained Central welfare schemes, met locals, and reviewed the implementation of Central schemes and village problems.

He addressed the residents at the 84th booth in the village, planted saplings, and held a meeting with beneficiaries of Central social welfare schemes.

BJP district President Gangadi Krishna Reddy and other local BJP leaders attended the meeting.
