Sankranthiki Vasthunnam to stream on ZEE5 from March 1

Among recent Telugu releases, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam stands out as the only unanimously declared blockbuster. Starring Venkatesh, the film became the highest-grossing Telugu film at the regional level, marking a major milestone for the veteran actor at the age of 65. Directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju, the film not only earned critical acclaim but also helped the producer recover losses from Game Changer.
Now, this family entertainer is gearing up for its OTT and satellite premiere after a sensational theatrical run. It will have a unique dual premiere on Zee Telugu and ZEE5 on March 1 at 6 PM. Additionally, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chowdhary play the female leads, while child artist Revanth delivers a hilarious performance, which is considered one of the film’s highlights.
The story revolves around retired police officer YD Raju (Venkatesh), who leads a peaceful life in the Godavari region with his wife, Bhagyalakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh). However, his quiet life is disrupted when his ex-girlfriend, Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chowdhary), re-enters his life, pulling him into a high-stakes rescue mission involving a renowned entrepreneur.
