Readers, obsession turns deadly, boiling over into blood-curdling violence and mind games that will leave you gasping. So, we’re going to reveal the details of our upcoming exclusive interview with the movie’s lead actor.
For those who don’t know, Satya Yadu, a few of his noteworthy short films are Dashansh, Steps and Galat Sahi. He also made a brief appearance in the well-liked television series Kumkum Bhagya. And now the leading man for this captivating story of love and passion! “Through a buddy who provided the project details in August 2023, I was able to secure the lead role in Saaree. I had no idea that Ram Gopal Varma was working on the project at the time. After submitting my profile in the required format and waiting three months, I received a call from the casting department informing me that RGV had liked it and wanted to talk about the role.” Oh, that’s how he landed the role in Saaree.
Next up, “RGV, the gentleman, didn’t disclose that the character was the lead during our talk; instead, he just described it. He promised to update me later. But after two months there was no news; I thought maybe someone else had been cast. RGV sir called me again two months later and said he would send me the first draft. I was requested to read my character and get back to him. I knew at that point that I had the role. I found out my character was the project’s lead after reading the script.” A moment of congratulations!
The birthplace and upbringing of Satya Yadu are from Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling in his hometown and later graduated with a degree from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University. His mother is a stay-at-home mom and his father works in the private sector. While he continues to talk about his debut, he mentions, “I studied the screenplay for two months, reading it through about fifty times, in order to get ready for this complicated character. I was able to fully comprehend the character’s intricacies and feelings as a result of this. In order to completely put myself in the character’s shoes, I also conducted self-reflection tests and developed a simple framework to direct my representation. 90% of the character was already developed by the time I went to the workshop and the final 10% was honed there.”
As everyone is aware, Ram Gopal Varma, who was previously praised as one of the best directors of Hindi cinema, has had difficulties lately due to the lackluster reception his films have received. Not to be deterred, RGV is currently taking on new projects. RGV hopes to revitalise Satya Yadu’s cinematic presence by presenting him as the main character. “I was aware of his distinct approach, having grown up watching his films. There were moments during filming when I found it difficult to capture the character’s feelings, but RGV’s advice enabled me to give outstanding performances. He is incredibly talented at getting his actors to give excellent performances,” Satya gives his producer acclaim.
“Since Saaree was my debut, I was first anxious. Nevertheless, my worries vanished as soon as filming started because of the welcoming and helpful environment on set. I was given the creative freedom to thrive in my part by director Giri Krishna Kamal, who encouraged me to offer my thoughts. Because of Aaradhya’s genuine personality, we were able to click with her off-screen and it easily transferred to our on-screen chemistry. From playing a character, transitioning from love to obsession was challenging; the director’s guidance made it smoother, and working on it taught me teamwork’s importance in filmmaking. Every crew member’s role is vital! Moreover, RGV encouraged me to push limits and his supportive nature made challenging scenes manageable. Initial nerves were overcome by the team’s support; my first day on set, surrounded by dedication and living my dream, was surreal. I learned to control emotions to separate my character’s feelings from my personal life,” continues Satya.
Regarding the future, he comes to a conclusion: “I’m excited to explore diverse roles with compelling stories. My first day on set was unforgettable. My journey as an actor has just begun. Regardless of the character, the story should be good.”
