Save the Tigers 2 is the sequel to its super-hit comedy series Save the Tigers on Disney+Hotstar. The second installment picks up where it left off in its previous season. The trio of men (Priyadarshi, Abhinav, and Krishna Chaitanya) are booked by the cops for the kidnapping and murder of actress Hamsa (played by Seerat Kapoor). However, in a turn of events, Hamsa is not dead, and she comes to the rescue of these men. Meanwhile, their wives (Sujatha, Pavani, and Deviyani) approach a psychologist to solve the issues in their respective married lives. In the process of stabilising their marriages, what happens in the lives of these three urban couples is the remaining story.
Performances:
In this series, all the lead actors, especially Priyadarshi and Abhinav Gomatam, have excelled in their respective roles. Abhinav and Rohini’s comedy scenes cause great hilarity.
While the women in the show were good in their respective roles, Sujatha seems to have overpowered the other two with her natural Telangana accent and her performance, which brought more humour to the screen. Not just comedy, all the actors in the show this time were able to touch a soul even in the emotional scenes, especially Priyadarshi in a few scenes as a father.
Seerat Kapoor, as a heroine, did her job just right and brought more glamour to the screen. The other actors were in their element, including the kids.
Overall, performance-wise, all actors were able to catch the audience’s pulse.
Analysis:
Mahi V. Raghav, who also happens to be one of the producers of the show, dealt with the overall story in the most realistic way. The message he tried to convey about urban relationships through this show strikes a chord with us. In this season, he ensured there’s both comedy and emotion, making the overall show soulful. Of course, there are a few over-the-top scenes, like the episode in the jungle; however, it has a message to convey, and other episodes make up for it.
On the other hand, the dialogues were very relatable and were like regular conversations that happen among urban people. The screenplay was racy and engaging, and so was the editing.
Conclusion:
Overall, Save the Tigers 2 is a fun show on situational comedy. The message and emotions behind the season are conveyed through a fun-filled narration that not only makes you laugh but also makes you think.
