SC MLAs in YSRCP facing bias: Naidu

Must read

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu countered the ruling YSRCP’s ambition of winning all 175 seats in the upcoming 2024 general elections by asserting that the TDP must secure victory in every Assembly seat, including Pulivendula.
Addressing the crowd at the ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ public meeting in Chintalapudi of Eluru district on Monday, Naidu criticised the YSRCP, alleging a lack of social justice and discrimination against Scheduled Caste MLAs within the party.
Naidu drew attention to the setbacks suffered by the palm oil and aqua sectors during the YSRCP regime. In a bid to support farmers, he pledged incentives and subsidies for palm oil farmers and promised to provide electricity to aqua farmers at Rs 1.50 per unit. Confident in TDP-JSP’s prospects, he predicted a victory that would oust Jagan Mohan Reddy from office in just 64 days. Accusing the current Chief Minister of embezzling large sums during his 4.10-year tenure, Chandrababu went on to refer to Jagan Mohan Reddy as Akramarjuna, challenging the latter’s self-proclaimed comparison to Arjuna. Chandrababu strongly criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy for the soaring prices of essential commodities during his term and for the alleged destruction of the potential revenue-generating Amaravati capital.
Regarding the Polavaram project, Chandrababu emphasized its significance for the state and lamented its neglect by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He claimed that 72% of the project was completed under the TDP government and criticised YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure in 2004, citing allegations of substantial corruption.
Addressing the issue of social justice within the YSRCP, Naidu aimed at MP Mithun Reddy, the son of Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, accusing him of imposing terms in Godavari districts that run contrary to the principles of social justice.
