In anticipation of the upcoming general elections notification in April, the Andhra Pradesh Education Department has unveiled the examination schedule for Class 10 and Intermediate students for the 2023-24 academic year. Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana officially released the schedule in Vijayawada on Thursday.
Following consultations with the CBSE board and various state governments, the finalized examination timetable reveals that Intermediate examinations will take place from March 1 to 20, while Class 10 examinations are scheduled from March 18 to 30.
Minister Botsa Satyanarayana informed the media that a total of 16 lakh students are expected to participate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Intermediate exams. This includes 6 lakh Class 10 students, 5.29 lakh first-year Intermediate students, and 4.7 lakh second-year Intermediate students. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to completing both the SSC and Inter exams before the election notification, he highlighted the proactive measures taken to ensure a seamless examination process.
To mitigate any potential challenges arising from the April elections, the State government is diligently organizing the necessary logistics for the exams, assured Minister Botsa. The SSC exams are scheduled from 9.30 am to 12.45 p.m., while Inter exams will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. Notably, exams will not be held on Sundays, second Saturdays, and public holidays.
Minister Botsa urged all students to excel and attain 100 per cent success. Practical exams for Intermediate students are slated from February 5 to 20, with theory exams scheduled from March 1 to 20.
