Journalists, affiliated with the AP Democratic Journalist Forum, appealed to Collector AS Dinesh Kumar for fee concession for their children in private schools.
The journalists submitted a memorandum to the Collector during the Spandana programme in the Collector’s office on Monday. They appealed to the Collector to provide fee concessions at all private schools to the children of all the journalists working in the district.
They told the Collector many journalists are not able to pay huge school fees in corporate schools for their children’s education. They urged the government to provide free concessions under the right to Education Act.
The Collector responded positively to the request of jo
rnalists and directed DEO VV Subba Rao to take steps in this regard. Democratic Journalist Forum representatives Dr.Nukathoti Ravikumar, Boddu Srinivasa Rao, Paina Surendra, Ubba Ashok and Telagathoti Bharat Kumar were among those who were present.
