Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced the BJP’s State Executive Committee with 125 members. But the announcement sparked anger in the BJP as many seniors, most of them who joined from other parties, expressed unhappiness over including their names in the State Executive Committee.

They were considering the State Executive Committee member position as the small one to their status.

The BJP’s National Executive Committee Member Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender’s close associate Tula Uma is questioning the party why her name, who served as the general secretary of the BRS for 10 years, is included in the State Executive Committee. Tula Uma worked as the ZP chairperson of Karimnagar district while she was in the BRS.

Telangana protagonist and BJP leader from Bhongir Jitta Balakrishna Reddy said that he is not getting his due place in the BJP and said that giving a place in the State Executive Committee is of not honouring TS activists.

Gudur Narayana Reddy said that he was the State Treasurer of the Telangana Congress and a member of the AICC when he was in the Congress. He asked as to how it is proper for the BJP state leadership to include his name in the 125-member State Executive Committee.

Speaking to ‘The Pioneer,’ Gudur Narayana Reddy said that he is not happy with the post given to him although he joined three years ago. However, Gudur said that it’s not a big thing for him.

But one party leader stated on condition of anonymity that the BJP is different from other political parties. He said that senior leader T. Achary was also included in the BJP State Executive Committee.

Many BJP State Executive members are expressing the same unhappiness at including their names in jumbo State Executive Committee instead of giving important posts they deserve.

When asked about the unhappiness of BJP leaders over the posts announced on Tuesday, Telangana BJP General Secretary G. Premender Reddy told ‘The Pioneer’ that unhappiness is common when the party is strong.

He said that there are many posts and that leaders who are unhappy will be given more responsibilities in future. He said that the party will speak to them regarding their complaints.

“The party policy is ‘har karyakartha ke liye party ka kaam. Har party ke kaam ke liye party karyakartas.’ The party will not leave out anyone. The party will speak to them and convince them,” Premender said.

Premender Reddy said that already Telangana BJP State Executive Committee has 80 members and the number now reached to 205 with the appointment of 125 new members.
