Septuagenarian stabbed to death by miscreants

A septuagenarian was brutally murdered by unidentified miscreants on the night of Tuesday here on the road at Arundalpet near Karnataka bank.Police said that the deceased Sheik Ibrahim (70) was stabbed to death when he was going on a bike with another person Rahamath Ali. The miscreants waylaid and attacked Ibrahim and indiscriminately stabbed him to death. Later they fled the scene. Rahamath Ali was injured in the incident and he was admitted to the GGH.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim’s murder has become a sensation as he had filed a petition in the court seeking allocation of shops in the shopping complex to those who were allocated shops earlier also.

The shopping complex is being constructed by the Anzuman committee. Due to the petition of slain Ibrahim in the court, the construction of the complex was delayed. However the elders resolved the issue by speaking to both the groups.

YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy also assured of allocating shops to those who were allocated earlier also. With this, the deceased Ibrahim withdrew his case. Later Ibrahim gave a memorandum to the district Collector urging to separate the Mosque and Anzuman committees.

TDP leader Nallapati Ramu alleged that YSRCP leaders were behind the murder of Ibrahim. However, YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy condemned the TDP leader’s allegation and made it clear that they had nothing to do with the murder.
