YSRTP president YS Sharmila lodged her protest in an innovative manner on Friday. Sharmila has offered ‘Mangal Harathi’ to the police when the police obstructed her to go to visit the village Thigul located in Gajwel constituency from the CM KCR representing the Assembly.
Sharmila did this act at her party office located at Lotus Pond when the police obstructed her from going to Gajwel. In fact, she stated that she is taking up hunger strike in front of her party office protesting against the CM KCR’s dictatorial attitude.
She said that she planned to go to Thigul village following their letter inviting her to wage a movement against the way the Dalit Bandhu being implemented in the village. However, the police kept Sharmila in House Arrest.
While speaking on the occasion, Sharmila said that she is not going to Thigul village to resort to attacks on anyone. “We are going to Thigul village only to wage a fight on behalf of the people. Whether the police arrested the BRS leaders who warned me saying that they will not allow me to step in the village?”, she asked.
Sharmila said that whether the people need police permission to float a political party and to wage movements on behalf of the people. She said that the police are meant not to stand by the Doras. The police have to stand by the people, she said.
