After impressing fans with roles in films like Veere Di Wedding, Wake Up Sid, Sanaa, and more, Shikha Talsania has once again wooed us all with her recent teleplay called Yeh shaadi nahi ho sakti. While we recently sat to talk to her about the film, we also took the opportunity to ask her about her thoughts on marriage.
During our exclusive conversation with the actress, we asked her if she was excited and awaiting a digital release. To this, the actress says, “It’s ever-evolving and perpetually exciting because now there are so many interesting stories that are being told and so many more opportunities and avenues for artists and creators to explore themselves.”
She continued, “Everyone is just perfect for the parts they are playing, I would assume. Whoever is saying that I would be the “perfect fit” for a role, would be in the best position to answer why. As far as I am concerned, once I am on board for a project, I try my best to understand the universe the director is trying to create. I learn my lines and try to have as much fun as possible with my character and the scene.”
Talking about experiencing new shades of human experience, Shikha Talsania said, “Being directed again by Akarsh after eons were just euphoric. Working again with friends who I have known for over a decade was heartwarming. And channeling nineties Bollywood?
Totally nostalgic! Any gaps taken are not voluntary. That’s just the nature of the beast which is the industry. You grow and change and evolve every day and every experience teaches you something new. Post lockdown, I have to say that I have become far more selfish about what and who my time and energy is spent on.”
