My father was in government service and mother was a homemaker. I had two siblings, both are doctors. One is Paediatrician and another Obstetrician. They are settled in Karnataka. I am married to an engineer and have a four-year-old daughter.
Preferred to give only one attempt
I was an Orthopedic and was appointed as Assistant Professor at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics. So, the time I had before starting work and after work was my preparation for the UPSC. I had no ideas of giving another attempt. I wanted to write once and get over it, but we never know. My first attempt had hit me with luck.
If not UPSC, would do my fellowship
After my masters, if we opt to do research, we will be offered a fellowship. So I had one from Germany. Once we step in, we will know the University we will be attached to. Through this I wished to go to AO in Switzerland, known as Mecca of Orthopedics, where most of the procedures are researched on and I wanted to research, write and have a surgery procedure in my name.
