The Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam is gearing up for the grand celebration of ‘Mukkoti Ekadasi’ on December 23, with extensive arrangements in place to accommodate the expected influx of around 60,000 devotees.
The festivities are set to commence with special rituals beginning at 5 a.m. on the auspicious day. Temple Executive Officer, S. Srinivasa Murthy, informed that in anticipation of the large turnout, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will operate special buses to facilitate the smooth arrival and departure of devotees.
In a bid to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims, the Police Department will deploy additional forces, providing a secure environment for the spiritual gathering.
On the day of the festival, devotees will have the opportunity to enter the temple through the ‘Uttara Dwaram’ (north gate). The spiritual fervour will peak between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. as the temple conducts ‘Maha Nivedana’ and other significant rituals, enhancing the divine experience for attendees.
While free darshan will be available for all, the temple authorities have introduced special darshan tickets priced between Rs. 100 and Rs. 500 for devotees seeking an enhanced spiritual encounter.
