State Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy revealed that through the state Skill Development and Training Corporation, 3.60 lakh youth have been trained in various fields in the years 2022-23 and 2023-24 and employment has been provided to 1.18 lakh people. The CS reviewed with the officials the various training programmes undertaken by the Skill Development and Training Institute and the employment opportunities provided to the unemployed youth so far at the Secretariat on Thursday.
On the occasion CS Jawahar Reddy launched a website //My Apssdc My Website, which is managed under the joint auspices of AP Skill Training Institute and GUVI.
CS Jawahar Reddy stated that measures are being taken to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth in various organizations by organizing large-scale employment training programmes. The officials of the skill training institute were directed to conduct more training programmes in the coming days and take steps to provide employment opportunities in large numbers. The CS also reviewed various issues related to skill training with the officials.
After that, CS Jawahar Reddy launched a website named //My Apssdc My Website, which is managed jointly by AP Skill Training Institute and GUVI.
Skill Development Corporation Principal Secretary S Suresh Kumar explained the various training programs undertaken by the skill training institute in the state and the employment opportunities provided to the youth through a power point presentation. He also briefed various training programmes conducted by signing MoUs with national and international universities as well as various training institutes.
Skill Development Corporation MD Dr Vinod Kumar, Babu A, MM Naik were present while Higher Education Department Principal Secretary J Shyamala Rao, Commissioner of Technical Education Department Ch Nagarani and others participated in this meeting virtually.
