Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will shortly review the progress of Devadula project works. In this context, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Minister of State Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply, on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to complete the project works by summer. He expressed his disappointment at slow pace of ongoing works. Four districts viz. Warangal, Hanumakonda, Janagama and Mahabubabad districts will come under this package.

In the past, when the contractor did not do it, under the directions of KCR, a re-tender was called; yet, the works were not progressing on expected lines, the Minister said. He urged officials to rectify the errors and complete the works during the summer. “The government promised to complete it in six months, but it’s been 3 years now.

CM KCR will review this. All work should be done before there is a review. If you don’t take it seriously, it will be trouble. Everyone should coordinate and do things quickly”, Erabelli warned.

A review meeting was held in the presence of Hanumakonda Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanuman, Warangal District Collector Dr. Gopi, Janagama District Collector Sivalingaiah, Chief Engineer Sudhakar Reddy. Engineers, contractors and officials participated in the meeting.
