TDP State unit president K Atchannaidu has said that the comments made by BJP State president Somu Veerraju against TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu are highly objectionable. “I don’t understand why Somu Veerraju got so angry and impatient, when Chandrababu sought that the Center should take action against CM YS Jagan,” he said.

“Somu Veerraju should know that the Centre has the power to intervene under Article 355 when governance is out of order and unchecked anarchy prevails in the States. This has happened in many states in the past. Isn’t it true that Union Minister Amit Shah and the BJP national president have expressed their concern about atrocities and crimes in the State and government inspired terrorism? Have you not seen the attack by the State government on the CBI in the Viveka murder case? Don’t you see the daily violence against Dalits and down trodden in the State,” he asked.

He further said that Somu Veeraju should know that when the situation in the respective States was out of control, the Centre had the power to intervene. He reminded that the TDP demanded action against CM Jagan for public sovereignty. He recalled that during the TDP government’s abiding to the constitution we gave permission to Jagan padayatra, who was the leader of Opposition.

It is unfortunate for the BJP state president to support the YSRCP and the government. He said what is wrong to ask Jagan Mohan Reddy to implement the promise of bringing special category status and developing every district like Hyderabad. What is your problem if TDP questions CM Jagan, Atchannaidu asked and suggested that he stop criticising the Opposition party and fight against public issues and government anarchy.
