Kamal Haasan spoke many good things about the highly anticipated Bharateeyudu 2 (Indian 2), bringing back the iconic duo of Kamal Haasan and director Shankar. Scheduled for release on July 12th, the film promises to be one of the year’s biggest releases.
The star-studded cast includes Kamal Haasan, Shankar, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, among others. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film, produced by Lyca Productions and Subhaskaran under the banner of Red Giant.
The Telugu theatrical rights have been secured by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP, with Srilakshmi Movies acquiring the ceded rights. An extravagant pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, followed by a media interaction today where the film’s insights were unveiled.
Expressing his excitement for the release, distributor Suresh Babu praised Kamal Haasan’s innovative approach to cinema, recalling their collaboration in Indrudu Chandrudu. He also commended Shankar for blending social issues with commercial elements in films like Gentleman. He extended his best wishes to the entire cast and crew, including Siddharth, Rakul, and Bobby Simha.
Kamal Haasan emphasised, “It’s the Telugu audience who made me a star. I have classic hits in Telugu. The dialogues spoken by the general in Bharateeyudu 2 might also resonate in society. Are there songs and fights? Distributors are asking. They are indeed present, but in a unique form. I always tell Siddharth that I am his teacher, much like I once said to Shivaaji Ganeshan. Siddharth, I am one of Ekalavya’s disciples. The industry needs personalities like Kamal Haasan and upcoming talents like Siddharth. Everyone must watch Bharateeyudu 2 and absorb its message. Therefore, media cooperation is crucial in bringing this film to the masses.”
