South Zone Inter-University Tennis Tourney from tomorrow

Krishna University is set to conduct the South Zone All-India Inter University Tennis Tournament for Men at the Andhra Loyola College Tennis Academy in Vijayawada from December 27 to 30. As many as 56 university teams will be participating in the South Zone Championship.
Krishna University Registrar Dr P Veera Bhrahmachary, Dr YSR University of Health Sciences Sports Board Secretary Dr E Trimurthy, Andhra Loyola College Principal Dr GAP Kishore and others inspected the arrangements for the tournament on Monday. Later, Dr Veera Brahmachary told media persons that Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof K Hemachandra Reddy, along with Krishna University Vice-Chancellor Prof G Gnana Mani, would inaugurate the tennis tournament on December 28. So far, five university teams have arrived in Vijayawada. For conducting the matches, six courts have been prepared at the Andhra Loyola College Tennis Academy, he added. Krishna University Sports Board Secretary D J Naveen Lavanya Latha, Academic Officer (Physical Education) Dr N Srinivasa Rao, Tournament Convener Dr JV Nagendra Prasad and others were present.
