SP Vakul visits injured constables in hospital

Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal on Friday visited the constables who suffered injuries in a clash that took place between two groups on August 10 at Ramannapet village in Vetapalem police station limits in the district.

The SP visited woman constable Chennupati Sunita and head constable Tanniru Srinivasa Rao who was injured in the Ramannapet incident and are undergoing treatment in the government area hospital here.

He extended Rs 15,000 in financial assistance to the two constables.

The SP met the constables and knew the details of the incident. He infused them with courage by assuring them that the police department would stand by them.

The SP spoke to hospital superintendent Dr. P Subhashini and inquired about the injured constables’ health condition. The SP asked her to provide the needed treatment to the constables.

Later talking to the media, the SP said that the constables were injured in a clash that took place between two groups at Ramannapet village in Vetapalem PS limited. Woman constable Chennupati Sunita suffered a head injury and head constable Tanniru Srinivasa Rao suffered an injury on his neck.

The SP warned that the police would act tough if any person tried to vitiate the law and order and tranquility. The police registered cases against the persons belonging to the two groups, he said.

Meanwhile, hospital superintendent Dr.Subhasani appreciated the SP for efficient efforts which ensured 20 years imprisonment for the accused in the gang rape case which took place in the railway station in Repalle.
