Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar announced that the speed limit on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) has been increased to 120 km per hour. Earlier, the speed limit was 100 kmph.
The decision was taken by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao during a meeting held on Tuesday. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has been asked to make safety arrangements regarding this.
“The maximum speed limit on #ORR has been increased to a maximum of 120 kmph from the present 100 kmph. At the review meeting held on Tuesday, minister @KTRBRS reviewed the arrangements & instructed @HMDA_Gov to ensure that all safety protocols are in place,” Kumar said on Twitter‘
