District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh directed the officials to take steps to complete the construction works of medical college buildings on a war footing.
The Collector inspected the medical college buildings which are being constructed on the premises of the DMHO office here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that classes for MBBS 1st year would commence on September 1 at the new medical college. He instructed the officials to take steps to complete the construction of structures on a war footing.
The Collector inspected the classrooms, lab, and professors’ rooms built with modern facilities, kitchen, hostel rooms, toilets, water piping system, and electricity.
The Collector said that 90 % of the construction works of the buildings have been completed and there are small minor works that remain to be completed.
The Collector said that the construction of buildings has been taken up so that 150 students can study at the medical college. Later, the district collector planted saplings in DMHO office premises.
APMSIDC SE D Balaram Reddy, DMHO Dr.Asha, Superintendent Seshidhar, College principal Dr.Vijay Kumar and municipal commissioner S Venkata Krishna were among those who accompanied the Collector.
