Speed up priority building works: Collector

NTR District Collector Dr S Dilli Rao has asked the officials to speed up the works on the government’s priority buildings such as Grama Sachivalayam, Rythu Bharosa Kendras and YSR Health Clinics. He said that the government was constructing 914 priority buildings in the district, of which the works on 230 buildings were completed.

Collector Dilli Rao conducted a teleconference with MPDOs and Panchayat Raj engineering officials to review the progress of the building works in the mandals, on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that 268 Grama Sachivalayam buildings were being constructed in the district spending Rs.107 crore. Likewise, 260 Rythu Bharosa Kendras were also being built at 56.68 crore. He said 147 Bulk Milk Cooling Units were being constructed in the district spending Rs 25.97 crore.

He further stated that they were undertaking construction of 239 YSR Health Clinics spending an amount of 41.82 crore. He spoke to the officials regarding the completion of the 117 buildings, which are in the final stage. The Collector urged the officials to make the district number one in finishing priority building works.

He enquired about the progress of works in Tiruvuru, Nandigama and Mailvaram divisions and ordered speedy completion of the works. NTR district Panchayati Raj Superintending Engineer Akkineni Venkateswara Rao and others were present.
