Speed up Ramayapatnam, Bandar & Mulapet ports

Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy reviewed the progress of the projects approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) regarding the establishment of industries in Andhra Pradesh at the CS Camp office in Vijayawada on Saturday with the officials of the Industries Department.

On this occasion, the CS said that it is necessary to take appropriate measures to set up all the projects which have been approved by SIPB. The CS has ordered the Commissioner of Industries Praveen Kumar to submit a report on the progress of these projects once in every 15 days and he would review it once in a month.

The CS also reviewed the MoUs made at the Global Investors Summit with respect to industries. During the summit, 107 MoUs have been signed by various companies with investments of RS 3. 41 Lakh Crores and to provide employment to 2.38 lakh people, said the CS and added that a few companies and industries have already been inaugurated by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy physically and virtually. CS Jawahar Reddy has ordered to prepare for the foundation stone laying and inauguration of another 36 projects by the end of December. Furthermore, the CS reviewed the issues related to the establishment of industries, land acquisition, resettlement measures for the displaced persons, etc. with the officials.

Earlier, State Industries Commissioner K Praveen Kumar explained the progress of the projects approved in SIPB through a power point presentation. He also explained about the MoUs made during the Global Investors Summit and various aspects related to the establishment of the respective companies.

Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy ordered the officials to speed up the construction works of Ramayapatnam, Machilipatnam and Mulapet (Bhavanapadu) ports in the state. On Saturday, he reviewed the progress of the construction of three ports, and he ordered to speed up the construction and ensure that the works are complete within the specified time.

During the meeting, State Industries Commissioner and APIIC VC and MD Praveen Kumar explained the progress of the respective ports and fishing harbors through a powerpoint presentation. Collectors of Nellore, Krishna and Srikakulam Districts Harinarayana, Rajababu and Srikesh participated in this meeting virtually. AP Maritime Board Deputy CEO Rabindranath Reddy, Ramayapatnam Port MD Pratap Reddy and other officials also participated in the meeting.
