As many as 450 people participated in the free mega health camp conducted at Nava Bharat Public School, Krishna Lanka on Sunday. The health camp was inaugurated by Special Chief Secretary MT Krishna Babu. The health camp was organized by the Andhra Pradesh Private Nursing Homes Association (APNA), Lions Club of Vijayawada East and Sameera East Lions Eye Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Special CS Krishna Babu appreciated the organizers for organizing the health camp to serve the poor. He praised the organizers for the costly tests being done and medicines being given free. He said that many super speciality hospitals are providing good treatment to the poor under the Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha scheme.
Lion’s district governor Ln Sankara Gupta said that the Lions Club has been organizing various service activities on a regular basis to the poor and the needy for a long time.
Ln Dr Hanumaiah, president APNA NTR dist. & President Lions Club of Vijayawada East said that 17 IMA doctors were involved in conducting various tests on the people who visited the camp and provided medicines free.
