SSA inks MoU with IIM-A

Samagara Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) has entered into an MoU with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) for training the School headmasters for the all-around development of schools and students.

Commissioner of School Education and Project Director of the SSA, S Suresh Kumar, in a statement on Monday said State Additional Project Director B Srinivasa Rao presented the MoU document to Professor Kathan Shukla and Professor Neharika Vohra, Head of IIM-A Programme Faculty. The two sides signed the MoU in Vijayawada on Monday. As part of this, 50 School Heads selected from our state are undergoing training for five days from Monday.

Principals/Headmasters stated that IIM will provide training on roles, strategic decision making, character development for leadership skills, learning readiness in the school environment, school discipline: restorative methods, identifying students’ emotions for a better learning environment, interesting innovative teaching, encouraging new ideas, etc.

Samagara Shiksha ASPD Dr KV Srinivasulu Reddy, representatives from School Education Department, faculty SIEMAT, and Samagara Shiksha were present.
