SSC exams from today

S. Suresh Kumar, Commissioner of School Education, stated on Sunday that all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the SSC Public Examinations, March 2024, beginning from March 18 to 30 throughout the state. A total of 6,23,092 students are going to write the exams. The examinations will be conducted from 09:30 am to 12:45 pm. The Commissioner mentioned that candidates will be permitted to enter the examination centres from 08:45 am to 09:30 am.
Furthermore, he stated that Hall Tickets have been available on the Official Website since March 4, and students can either download the Hall Tickets themselves or receive them from the concerned School HMs.
Commissioner Suresh Kumar further informed that all candidates are requested to check their examination centres in advance, arrive on time, and follow the “Candidate’s Instructions” issued earlier by the CSE, A.P. He explained that the total number of candidates registered for SSC March 2024 is 6,23,092, out of which 3,17,939 are boys and 3,05,153 are girls. He further explained that Regular Candidates are 6,23,092, and Re-enrolled Candidates are 1,02,528. The total number of Examination Centers in the State is 3,473, with 3473 Chief Superintendents, 3473 Departmental Officers, 35,119 Invigilators, and other staff appointed for the smooth conduct of SSC exams. He further stated that the Examination Centers are equipped with adequate infrastructure such as Benches, Adequate Lighting, Fans, Drinking Water facilities, and Toilet facilities for both boys and girls, ensuring comfort for the candidates.
He said that a total of 156 flying squads and 682 sitting squads are constituted all over the State to check malpractices at the examination centres, and a total of 130 troublesome examination centres have been identified across the state, with CCTV Cameras installed for surveillance, Suresh Kumar mentioned. He said that the confidential examination material, 12/24-page answer booklets, graph sheets, and other examination material have already been dispatched to District HQs and secured at Storage Points. He highlighted that Unique Confidential Coded Question Papers will be provided to the candidates for all the examinations to prevent malpractice and paper leakages. He further highlighted that in case of malpractice or paper leaks, the exact District, Mandal, exam centre, exam hall, and the exact candidate can be identified within a short time.
He said that Round-the-clock control rooms will be set up in all the District Educational Offices from March 18 to 30 to monitor the examinations and warned that Strict action shall be taken against malpractice cases as per the provisions in the “Andhra Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractices and Unfair Means) Act, 1997”.
Suresh Kumar added that a Control Room is set up in the Directorate of Government Examinations, AP, which is functioning round-the-clock, and the Control Room can be contacted at the number “0866-2974540” or the O/o DGE, A.P., can be reached out on “dir_govexams@yahoo.com” in case of any complaints, reporting of malpractice, or inquiries.
