Samantha Ruth Prabhu

The super talented and stunning actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, had revealed that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis in an Instagram post. Posting a hand-heart picture from the hospital, the actress said, “It is this love and connection that I share with all of you that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me.

A few months back, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I had hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with.”

Sharing an update on her health, Samantha wrote, “The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days, both physically and emotionally, and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you… This too shall pass.”

Shruti Haasan

Actress Shruti Haasan recently took to social media to open up about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis and said that she has been “facing some of the worst hormonal issues.”

“Workout with me. I’ve been facing some of the worst hormonal issues with my PCOS and endometriosis — women know it’s a tough fight with the imbalance, bloating, and metabolic challenges. But instead of looking at it as a fight, I choose to accept it as a natural movement that my body goes through to do its best.

I say Thankyou by eating right, sleeping well, and enjoying my workout — my body isn’t perfect right now but my heart is. Keep fit, keep happy and let those happy hormones flow! I know I sound a tad preachy but it’s been such a journey to accept these challenges and not let them define me,” she captioned her latest Instagram post.

However, the actress’ post led to speculations about her being hospitalised. Now, rubbishing the baseless rumours about her health issues, Shruti said that she is perfectly fine and healthy.

Poonam Kaur

Telugu actor Poonam Kaur recently opened up about her medical condition.
In an Instagram post, Poonam revealed that she has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a medical condition defined by the presence of chronic widespread pain, fatigue, and depression.

Sharing a note on fibromyalgia, Poonam wrote: “Let’s rest for a bit (sic).” It read, ‘Fibromyalgia is when a motivated person with lots of plans is forced to slow down and rest…’

Sameera Reddy

Actress Sameera Reddy recently opened up about how  her back “totally went for a toss” due to a lack of proper care. In a note on Instagram, the actor started out by saying, “I’ve had a bad back since my shooting days, and post-childbirth, it’s acted up at intervals. My back has been completely out of commission for the past two months. I was so frustrated because I wanted to be this super mom with my fitness Fridays and also keep up with so many things in my day. But I’ve had a history of back issues and post-childbirth, it’s gotten weaker.”

However, due to various other responsibilities, she lost track of her fitness and health. “I was pushing too hard on all other fronts, losing sight of the fact that I needed to be more regular with my back exercises and taking vitamins.”

To help deal with her back issues, Sameera introduced necessary supplements, foods, and exercise into her routine. She said, “Today, I can see an amazing difference after taking one multivitamin, one omega-3 fish oil, and one calcium every day. I took a course of vitamin D3 for a month. My iron levels were also low so I introduced iron-rich veggies into my diet because the tablets didn’t suit me. I’ve taken physiotherapy and not missed a day of yoga with @yogabypramila and finally, after 2 months, I feel like I’m good.”

Sharing her experience of dealing with her recurrent back issues, the actor asked everyone to look after their mental and physical health.  “There is a lot of pressure of everyday life and body expectations, and keeping up can be hard. The best investment is investing in yourself, so tune into your needs and listen,” she concluded.
